About Cooperatives Development Unit 

Cooperatives Development Unit is guided by the Cooperative Societies Act, Chapter 24:05 and the Cooperative Policy (2005) in fulfilling its mandate. The main Key Result Area for the Cooperative Department is to develop sustainable Cooperatives through implementing policies, projects and programs. During the year 2020 the Unit was involved in training, registration monitoring and evaluation of cooperative, formation of cooperative structures, exhibitions and dispute resolution among others activities.
